Mistakes In Colour

This was a project I started, about a 6 months ago, not long after I had started to shoot more with film.

When I started shooting with film, I was and still mainly shoot with black and white, I just love it, but sometimes, a bit of colour is needed.

I had picked up an older point and shoot camera which had been recommended to me, it's so small and compact, I started shooting and taking snaps everywhere I went around London. I fell in love with the look of the pictures. Now they weren't all tack sharp, in focus or maybe exposed correctly, but they still had this look, this charm, that drew me in. I decided to only shoot with colour, as a way to get me out of my comfort zone of using black and white. So only using the same camera and one colour film stock, I started shooting.

This project is my journey/learning curve/experience/fun/adventure of shooting with colour film and a point and shoot camera, I named the project 'Mistakes In Colour' because maybe not all the pictures are perfect, but mistakes still can produce something great.

Below are a selection of pictures from the soon to be released book of the project.
